Who are we?
Keemet draws from km.t - "Black land, fertile soil" in ancient Egyptian. A symbol of richness, roots, and potential. We're a team of young Congolese builders who believe Africa can, and must, contribute to the global technological evolution.
The origin of the name
km.t - pronounced "Keemet" - means "Black land, fertile soil" in ancient Egyptian. It was the name Egyptians gave their own country: a civilisation built on rich, productive soil, capable of nurturing and growing the world around it.
We carry this name as a declaration: African technology, built from a fertile soil of talent and vision, can feed the entire world.
Our values
Rootedness
We build from African realities - not imported assumptions. Our products are born from the ground up.
Excellence
km.t was the most advanced civilisation of its era. We carry that legacy: shipping world-class software.
Impact
Every feature we ship must improve the real life of a person in a school, hospital, or institution.
